New England Conservatory (third) opens.
September 18, 1902
Architect: Wheelwright & Haven. Designed in the Classical Revival style, the tan brick building is located at 290 Huntington Avenue. The school establishes the New England Conservatory Symphony Orchestra here in 1903 and begins to grant bachelor’s and master’s degrees in 1951.
