Arborway opens.
October 5, 1894
Architect: Shurcliff, Arthur. Originally named Bussey Farm Parkway, it is modeled on Charles Eliot Jr.’s Revere Beach Parkway and runs initially from Franklin Park to Washington Street. It is extended to South Street on August 2, 1896. It is completed in 1925.
