Barron (Jennie Loitman) is born in the West End.

The daughter of Jewish immigrants from Russia, Jennie Loitman Barron grows up at 77 Barton Street and 71 Allen Street, and graduates from Girls High School, Boston University, and Boston University School of Law. She marries attorney Samuel Barron, settles in Brighton, and opens her own law firm at 20 Pemberton Way in 1914. Loitman Barron is elected to the Boston School Committee in 1925 and is named a judge in 1934.* She dies in Boston on March 28, 1969.
