Puritan Club is built.

1890

It is located at 50 Beacon Street. In an unusual move, the club includes a ladies dining room and houses the Federal Art Gallery in the 1930s. When the club moves to a new location in 1951, the building is subsequently occupied by Allyn and Bacon Publishing Company. It is converted to offices in 1955.
