Unity Church (Union Congregational Church in Brighton) holds its first service.

The congregation, established in 1886, meets in the former First Universalist Parish church at 541 Cambridge Street. Selden Gilbert is the first minister. The congregation is dissolved in 1906 and the building is purchased first by the Brightelmstone Club, then by the Allston Knights of Columbus.
