Austin & Stone’s Dime Museum is built.

[1881] It is located near today’s 15 New Sudbury Street (then 109 Court Street)(then 1 – 4 Tremont Row). Performers include Tom Thumb, the Bearded Lady, the Dog-Faced Boy, and the Witch of Wall Street. It closes in 1911, is torn down in approximately 1912, and replaced by another theater in 1914.*
