Wheel Around the Hub is first held.

A two-day, 100-mile bicycle ride around Boston and the South Shore supported by bicycle manufacturer Albert Pope, the event is held to promote the new sport and attracts some 40 other prominent Bostonians to participate. The event is held annually until at least 1939 and is reenacted on October 12, 1965.
