Reserve Clause is introduced in Boston.

Devised by Boston Braves (then Red Caps) president Arthur Soden, the clause becomes an integral part of major league baseball, until withdrawn as part of an agreement between the owners and the players’ union in 1976. Soden at one time lives at 410 Atlantic Avenue.
