Parkman Street Methodist Church is dedicated.

The church is located at 29 Parkman Street. The congregation began as a Sunday School mission in the old Park Street Hall on July 17, 1870 and was organized as the Harrison Square Methodist Episcopal Church on July 12, 1874 (June). Rev. James Bashford is the first minister. The church building is extensively remodeled in 1902.
