Knight (John P.) House is built.

(ca.) Built by Stephan Stoddard for the retired merchant, it is located at 284 Dartmouth Street. Subsequent occupants include Lucy Wheelock, who operates it as a lodging house. The building is subsequently converted to apartment use. It is demolished in 1958.
