The offices of the architectural firm are located at 17 Pemberton Square. In a snide comment shortly afterward, rival architect John Hubbard Sturgis writes “What with Rogers to do the designing & drawing & you the letter-writing, wire-pulling & ‘bunkum’ I should say you hade a very promising firm.” Rogers leaves the partnership and Boston in approximately 1877
