C.B. Rogers & Company opens.

Operated by apothecary Charles Rogers, it is located at 701 Centre Street. The first pharmacy in Jamaica Plain, it adds a soda fountain in 1902. The last of five owners is John Donovan, who closes the drugstore in 1978.
