Hibbard (George A.) is born in Boston.

The son of a produce dealer, George Hibbard becomes a successful businessman and the head of the Republican party in Boston. He serves in the Massachusetts House of Representatives (1894-95), as postmaster of Boston, and mayor of Boston (1908-09). Hibbard dies on May 29, 1910.
