Sturtevant House opens.

[Feb.-Thompson] Often called the Maverick House, the new brick building is actually located on the former site of the Maverick House at 24 Maverick Square. It contains a large dining room with a women-only section, large ballroom, billiard room, and a bowling alley in the attic. Some 600 people attend the opening night ceremony. The building is demolished in 1924.
