Disunion Convention is held in Worcester.

Organized by Thomas Wentworth Higginson and others, its announcement read, “We the Undersigned invite the citizens of Massachusetts to meet in Convention at Worcester on Thursday January 15 to consider the practicality, probably and expediency of a separation between the free and slave states.”
