Dearborn (Henry A.S.) School (first) is built.

Named for the mayor of Roxbury, designer of Forest Hills Cemetery, president of the Massachusetts Horticultural Association, and U.S. Secretary of War, it is located on Dearborn Place. A new school (second) is built on Ambrose Street in 1906,* and an annex in 1921. The school moves to a new building (third) in 1981.*
