Mount Hope Cemetery is dedicated.

It is located at 355 Walk Hill Street. The cemetery is transferred to the city in 1857. Graves include those of Roland Hayes, Susannah Haswell Rowson, and Congressional Medal of Honor winner Frank Smith.
