Oong Ar-showe Tea and Coffee Store opens.

(ca.) Operated by Oon Ar-showe, it is located at 25 Union Street. The earliest known Chinese-owned shop in Boston, its owner becomes perhaps the first naturalized Chinese citizen in Massachusetts in 1860.
