Pinebank (second) is built.
1850
Architect: Jean Lemoulnier. Designed in the Mansard style and built for Edward Perkins, it is located on the site of its predecessor on the shore of Jamaica Pond. The grounds include steps from the former Hancock Mansion that are installed down to Jamaica Pond in 1864 and remain to this day. Destroyed by a fire in February 1868, it is replaced by a new building (third) in 1870.*
