Curtis (Benjamin R.) House is built.

Architect: George Dexter. Built by the Boston and Roxbury Mill Corporation and first occupied by the Supreme Court justice, it located at 93 Beacon Street. The house is purchased by William Appleton in 1852, by Mrs. Thomas Jefferson Coolidge in 1862, by Clara Gardner Brooks in 1897, by George Cabot Lee in 1927. It is subsequently converted to apartments.
