Hancock (John) Grammar School (second) is dedicated.

Architect: Charles Roath. Named for the patriot and Massachusetts governor, it is located on Richmond Place and Parmenter Street. The Hancock School Annex, designed by the Schoolhouse Department, is built in 1903.
