Church of the Saviour is dedicated.
November 10, 1847
Architect: Hammatt Billings and Joseph Billings. Designed in the Gothic Revival style, the stone building is located on Bedford Street. Robert Waterson is the first minister. The congregation merges with and becomes known as the Second Church in Boston (sixth) in 1854. The building is taken down and reassembled on Boylston Street in 1874.*
