White (George Robert) is born in Lynnfield.

George Robert White subsequently moves to Boston and becomes a successful businessman with the Potter Drug and Chemical Company. White becomes a philanthropist who gives a new building to the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and contributes to the Museum of Fine Arts, Children’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospitals. Upon his death on January 27, 1922,* he leaves large bequest to the city. A memorial to White is installed in the Public Garden in 1924.*
