St. John’s Church is built.
1841
Architect: Richard Bond. Designed in the Early Gothic Revival style, the brick and granite building is located at 27 – 31 Devens Street. The first Episcopal church in Charlestown and the first church with stained glass windows, its congregation was established in 1840. The building is renovated and altered in 1877.
