Martin (Augustus P.) is born in Piscataqua, Maine.

November 23, 1835

Augustus Martin moves with his family to Boston in approximately 1840. He works in the leather trade and serves in the Union Army during in the Civil War. Martin subsequently moves to 324 Commonwealth Avenue, and serves a single term as mayor of Boston mayor (1884). He dies on March 13, 1902.
