Pine Street Congregational Church is dedicated.
September 2, 1827
It is located at the corner of Washington Street and Pine Street. T.H. Skinner is the first minister. It becomes the largest Protestant congregation in New England, and is replaced by the Berkeley Street Church (second), which opens in 1862.*
