Ursuline Convent is built.

It is located next to the Cathedral of the Holy Cross on Franklin Street. Supported by a bequest from Rev. John Thayer, it moves to a site in Charlestown that is today part of Somerville in 1825 and is destroyed by a fire in 1834.*
