Prince (Frederick O.) is born in Boston.

January 18, 1818

The son of Thomas and Caroline Prince, and a descendent of John Prince, who arrived in Hull in 1633, Frederick Prince graduates from Harvard College, where he was class poet, and becomes a lawyer. He marries Helen Henry in 1848, and lives at 5 Walnut Street. Prince serves in the Massachusetts House of Representatives(1851-52, 1863) and Senate (1854), and as mayor of Boston (1877, 1879-81). He dies on June 6, 1899.
