Promenade Concerts are first held.

The concerts are performed every two weeks over the course of the summer at the Exchange Coffee House. A new series, offered in 1811, features the Panharmonicon, which is described as a “Wind Instruments (which) go by a most perfect mechanism, and with such exactness as to excite the greatest astonishment.”
