Humphrey (David) House is built.

Architect: Charles Bulfinch. One of two adjoining houses, it is located at 89 Mount Vernon Street. Subsequent occupants include Peter Chardon Brooks and Henry Hornblower. The building is substantially renovated by William Dinsmore in the 1920s.
