Seaver (Benjamin) is born in Roxbury.

Benjamin Sever becomes an auctioneer, then serves in the Massachusetts House of Representatives (1846-48) and Senate (1850-51) and as mayor of Boston (1852-53). He lives at the Revere House at 100 Cambridge Street. Seaver dies on February 14, 1856, and is buried in Forest Hills Cemetery.
