Capen (Caroline) House is built.

(ca.) Designed in the Georgian style, it is located at 70 Whitfield Street. Subsequently located on the estate of Samuel Capen, it is inherited at his death in 1877 by his widow Caroline. The property subsequently becomes the location of the Dorchester Stables.
