Winship (Jonathan) House is built.

It is located near today’s 301 Washington Street in Brighton Center. The Winships arrived in Little Cambridge in 1765 and lived first in the Ebenezer Smith House at 17-19 Peaceable Street, the oldest house in the Brighton Center area. The house is subsequently occupied by Samuel Dudley. It is converted to the Brighton Hotel in 1820.*
