Warren (John Collins) is born in Boston.

The son of Dr. John Warren and nephew of the late Dr. Joseph Warren, John Collins Warren is born at 7 Pemberton Square, graduates from Harvard College, and studies medicine in London, Edinburgh, and Paris. Returning to Boston, he assists his father in surgery and subsequently marries Mary Shaw. Warren is a founding professor at Harvard Medical School (1815-47), and one of the founders of the New England Journal of Medicine in 1812* and Massachusetts General Hospital in 1821.* He dies in Boston on May 4, 1856.
