Joint Committee of House and Council is appointed.

The committee votes that henceforth all civil processes should not be issued in the name of the King but the government and people of Massachusetts. It convenes subsequent sessions in Watertown from May 29 to July 13, 1776 and from August 30, 1776 to May 10, 1777.
