General Court convenes in Cambridge.

In protest, the House of Representatives votes that “the Town House in Boston is the accustomed ancient place for holding the General Assembly and where alone provision is made for it” on May 30, 1772. Despite the motion, the court also meets in Cambridge for the session beginning on May 27, 1772.
