Gardner House is built.

1770

(ca.) It is located on Pleasant Street at the corner of Savin Hill Avenue. The house is owned by Ebenezer Niles, a member of Newell & Niles, merchants on Central Wharf, in the early part of the 19th century, then by Gardner family. Gov. Henry Gardner probably lives here until he built his own house on Hancock Street. The building is demolished in 1890.
