John Adams and Samuel Quincy are sworn in as members of the Suffolk County bar.

After being congratulated for being allowed to now practice law before the Suffolk County Inferior Court, the cousins adjourn with some of their fellow members to a nearby tavern “to drink some Punch.” Adams is sworn in at the Suffolk County Superior Court on November 14, 1761.
