Woman recently returned to Boston from England is punished for adultery.

After returning to her husband in Boston after a four-year stay in England with a two-year-old child, she is sentenced to “stand on a stoole in ye meeting house with a paper on her breasts with ye inscription, ‘Thus I stand for my adulterous and whorish carriage.’”
