Bowles (John) House is built.

(ca.) It is located at the base of Spring Hill near today’s 217 Pond Street. Bowles is the son-in-law of Isaac Heath, who gave him 50 acres of land along today’s Jamaica Pond at the base of what was then called Spring Hill. The property is purchased by Gov. Francis Bernard in 1765, and the house is subsequently demolished..
