Pirate Captain Thomas Cromwell arrives in Boston.

(May) Cromwell sails into Boston Harbor with three captured Spanish vessels. He dies soon after as the result of a fall from his horse, but leaves six captured bells to the town. One of them is today owned by the Bostonian Society.
