General Court disarms the followers of Anne Hutchinson.

November 20, 1637

The court orders that firearms be confiscated from Edward Hutchinson, Thomas Marshall, Capt. John Underhill, and 72 others, who had supported Anne Hutchinson or Rev. John Wheelwright. The action was taken to prevent a civil uprising. Those who recant their support have their firearms returned to them.
