Pequot War Agreement is signed.
November 1, 1636
(OS-10/22) Massachusetts Bay Colony and Narragansett tribe agree to fight together against the Pequots in an agreement signed in Boston. Gov. Henry Vane and Narragansett sachem Miantonomi, who arrived the previous day, sign the agreement. Gov. William Bradford subsequently writes to Winthrop to complain that the Massachusetts Bay Colony had provoked the war.
