Wood, William Wood. New England Prospect.

1634

London: 1634. Written by an Englishman who lived in the Massachusetts Bay Colony from 1629 to 1633, the short volume is meant to encourage emigration from Great Britain and contains generally favorable description of the New World, including that it is free from “three great annoyances, of Woolves, Rattle-snakes, and Musketos.” The full title is: New England Prospect: a true, lively, and experimentall description of that part of America, commonly called New England.
