Mary and John arrives at Hull.
May 30, 1630
The ship had left Plymouth, England on March 17, 1630. Once the passengers go ashore, the ship’s captain continues up the Charles River and establishes a camp near the site of today’s Perkins School in Watertown (then Peagsgusset). He and his crew are subsequently ordered to abandon that settlement by John Winthrop.
